Georgia CORE presents Navigating End-of-Life Conversations: Empowering Survivors, Caregivers, and Families. Trained Death Doula, Neiasha Russell lead this webinar session. This webinar will provide survivors, caregivers, and families invaluable insights and support on navigating this sensitive topic. Participants will gain practical knowledge, emotional guidance, and valuable resources that will help them navigate end-of-life conversations and issues/experiences with compassion and confidence.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask Neiasha questions during the webinar. You are also welcome to submit questions prior to the start of the webinar during registration.

Speaker Bio

Neiasha Russell, the founder and CEO of Harriett’s Daughters, Inc., is a former school counselor with over 15 years of experience in school counseling, program coordination, and community engagement. Neiasha holds a Master's degree in School Counseling and is certified in Grief Counseling and Child and Adolescent Grief Counseling. She currently serves as a mentor and actively volunteers with organizations like the American Red Cross and other community-based initiatives.

Recognizing the profound and transformative nature of death and dying, Neiasha has created a safe space where individuals and families can navigate the complexities of end-of-life decisions, find solace amidst grief, and honor their loved ones in deeply meaningful ways. Whether it's through advance care planning, emotional support, facilitating meaningful ceremonies, or connecting individuals with valuable resources, she remains a dedicated and steadfast companion during this delicate chapter of life.

Neiasha believes that discussing death and dying is an essential part of the human experience, and she aims to alleviate discomfort and fear surrounding these topics. By fostering a safe and open environment, she encourages exploration, understanding, and acceptance of this natural part of life. Through sharing insights, resources, and heartfelt stories, Neiasha sheds light on the beauty, challenges, and healing that can emerge during the end-of-life process.
