Piedmont Fayette Hospital is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program. The program is also accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Piedmont Fayette’s treatment philosophy includes an interdisciplinary approach for the whole patient – medically, emotionally and socially. The hospital offers counseling with licensed therapists, support groups, cooking and nutrition classes, educational and expressive arts workshops, yoga and relaxation and regular sessions of the Look Good, Feel Better and Get A Move On programs. Treatment and diagnostic services include, but are not limited to, Women’s Imaging Center with digital mammography, breast MRI and MRI-guided biopsy, low-dose brachytherapy treatment, inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy infusion, interventional radiology and physical and occupational therapy. They also offer community education and outreach programs, spiritual support, breast cancer support group, men’s forum and breast health patient navigator.
