Phoebe Cancer Center leader named co-chair of national advocacy group

Ursula Mathis-Dennis, the director of quality, comprehensive programs and services for Phoebe Putney Health System’s Oncology Service Line, has been named the co-chair of the Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology (GASCO) Administrators’ Association for the 2024-2026 term.
Mathis-Dennis’s extensive experience and commitment to GASCO, where she has served as an active member for several years, make her a deserving choice for this prestigious position, officials with the organization said.
“GASCO plays a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of oncology care in our state, and I am deeply honored to accept the role of co-chair for the 2024-2026 term,” she said. “My years of service on the board have shown me the incredible impact that GASCO has on the delivery of cancer care in Georgia.
